Guard-Alert Security is the manned guarding division. We provide an effective security solution for every location from residential and commercial to mining and retail. With a presence in 29 centres across Zimbabwe, we have a comprehensive knowledge of nationwide trends and ensure our guards are trained and equipped for them.
Guards must meet our strict selection criteria and undergo intensive training at our registered training centre, SECTRA. Every guard has to complete the security guard course. This includes courses in search and arrest, first aid, fire prevention and access control. To prepare our guards for the requirements of specific contracts, we provide specialist training such as firearm and dog handling.
Each guard has a baton stick, a whistle, handcuffs, pepper spray and a radio.
We have a supervision and reporting structure in place to ensure our customers receive the highest level of service. Each guard is checked on in person and via radio. A supervisor visits each guard at least three times per shift and they have regular radio check-ins with the control room. All incidents and observations are recorded in a book that stays on-site and is available for the client and the supervisors to look at.

Investigations
Within Guard-Alert Security, we have an investigations department with several functions, internally and externally. To assist our investigators when conducting interviews and checks, we procured the first Automated Voice Stress Analysis Programme (AVSAPRO), a lie detector. When used in conjunction with information gathered by our officers, our expert investigators save our clients valuable time and money by resolving cases promptly.
